I AM A RIVER

I start my journey from the snow-clad mountains Jumping joyfully, I come down to the plains The radiant sun shines through my water I am lovingly called the beautiful earth’s daughter I flow through many cities, towns and villages Kids play in me while elders worship me since ages Giving everyone my water, I feel so gleeful Please don’t pollute me, be a little careful Calm and serene, I run through my course Splashing happily with rocks, I have no remorse I finally join the ocean so mighty Always be kind, compassionate and helpful just like me! -   ANAYA SHETH

MY FUNNY DREAM

I once had a really funny dream I saw some elephants which were trying to swim Giraffes were twirling around and dancing ballet I looked up and saw some fish flying away Dogs were singing melodiously instead of barking All the trees were laughing and talking A man with a big moustache drove his car straight up a rainbow There was an upside-down waterfall with water that glowed As I was floating on my beautiful cloud ‘Time for school’ I heard my mother shout I wish my dream would come true one day But I will have to go to school today! -        ANAYA SHETH

MY FOREVER FAMISHED FRIEND

MY FOREVER FAMISHED FRIEND   I have a friend who is quite cute and sweet But all he wants to ever do is to eat eat eat   I have named him Hungry, you know why He waits by the door staring at me with big brown eyes   He squeaks with delight everytime he sees me with his food Dancing with him always brightens my mood   When I give him food, he immediately gobbles it up He doesn't even want his food in a plate or a cup   How is it so? You may wonder Grab a sit and take a minute to ponder   You see Hungry is none other than a peacock Everyday I sit by him and we eat some peanuts and talk!   -          ANAYA SHETH

LETTER TO ANAYA ON HER 10TH BIRTHDAY

Our darling daughter, Happy Birthday! You are now in double digits. You have ruled our hearts for 3652 days now. Thank you for bringing eternal sunshine to our lives. You are growing up way too fast, my child. Sometimes, we do miss your baby days but watching you grow up so wonderfully brings us immense joy and happiness. I still remember your Daddy’s words on the day you were born ‘She looks so smart!’. Everyone laughed then but you really are blossoming into a bright, intelligent, inquisitive, kind hearted, head strong young lady. Being your parents is one of the greatest joys of our lives. This past year brought a major change in your life – Change of school. We know that you feel so much discomfort with changes and you loved your old school so much. Still, you didn’t hesitate to come out of your comfort zone. You accepted and embraced this change so bravely. Truth to be told, we were worried sick about it but you proved us wrong. You adjusted since day one and are now t...

MY TREK ON A MOUNTAIN

MY TREK ON A MOUNTAIN I once went to the Himalayas to trek But I totally forgot to check That there was snow on the ground I slipped and tumbled down My mother watched this with a frown She said ‘Really! Can’t you see?’ As I banged my head on a tree A little ahead I tripped over some rocks That was truly a big shock I said ‘I’m now going down to the ground’ And started walking without making a sound But I actually didn’t need to do that As I slid down on the snow really bad!   -       ANAYA SHETH

The girls face many up and downs on their way to become a princess. With their many ‘princess’ tasks to complete and keeping the club a secret, the girls become closer than ever. But when a school project comes up, their club is in big trouble as the girls start fighting! Will they be able to overcome their differences? What are my favourites in this book? My favourite chapter is the 3 rd chapter because Chloe and her friends founded the club in this chapter. My favourite character is Chloe be...
